The gamepad uses 2 AA batteries, which is nice in some ways. The gamepad also has a rumble feature you can turn off or on, this is nice if you want it and that you can turn it off to save on battery usage is also nice.

The gamepad looks like you took prominent features from both PS4 and Xbox controllers and put them together. The buttons on the right are modeled after an Xbox controller scheme so button mappings shown in games match up exactly in those games. The thumbsticks look very similar to a PS4 thumbstick though the movement seems a little more loose that a PS4 controller. The grip coating underneath feels smooth yet gripping. The gamepad has a good weight to it and certain aspects have a good feel. There are quite a few and you can go cheaper but I have used many Logitech products in my life and enjoy their quality and the reviews were mostly positive. So I looked for a comparable game pad that wasn't too expensive. Second, being there is no wireless receiver, I have to keep the joystick plugged in, which limits your distance from the computer and since the connection is loose can come unplugged from the joystick. Two major problems I had was that it seems a lot of game designers for PC, use the Xbox button layout and color, so I would have to keep looking to see what I should be pushing. I have been using a controller from my PS4, which has mostly worked fine. Has an 8-way dpad but while UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT work great and have a nice feel, NW/NE and SW/SE directions take some work to get right and have it actually register.almost feels like it is only supposed to be a 4-way dpad (not a big deal for me as my games mostly use the sticks). Package (plastic clamshell) is easier to open than some, but still a pain and easily cuts your fingers on the edges The buttons have a good feel but sound very plastic (loud click-clack sounds when playing) Sticks have a textured rubber on the top that is really nice, feels great and fingers don't slip off. I have used it with a range from 3-6 feet with no issues

Games recognize it as an XBOX360 Controller, no setup/binding needed Comes with USB extension cable to locate wireless receiver away from computer (I did not need to do this however). Comes with name-brand batteries (2x AA) already installed

Windows7 Found the drivers and installed with no fuss, ready to play quickly Buttons and Sticks have nice weight/resistance Back of controller had a nice smooth/soft feel plastic Games detect this as a Xbox360 controller(tested with Borderlands2, Dead Island, Need for Speed and Blur), while the style is closer to a Playstation controller, the X Y A B buttons are closer to an Xbox controller and it works great in that regard(no extra setup in game needed).

Windows7 found the driver and installed it quickly with no fuss. I got this to use on a Windows7 PC with Steam (digital game distribution/library software) and their "Big-Picture" mode that can be used to play games on a TV or away from a tradition mouse/keyboard. Quick review of the Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad.
